Russia: Putin tells armed forces to "act very tough" against threats in Syria



In case of any threats to the Russian forces in Syria, the military must "act very tough," President Vladimir Putin said in Moscow, Friday. Speaking at the annual expanded meeting of the Russian Defence Ministry, he stated that "any targets that threaten the Russian group or our ground infrastructure must be destroyed immediately."

Russia: All conflicts prepared for, Shoigu tells defence chiefs



Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu announced from Moscow on Friday that a plan has been prepared for "the defence of the country in the case of all projected military conflicts." He made the remarks during his annual assessment of the performance of the ministry, addressing the issues faced by Russia's armed forces. Shoigu said the country is faced with a wide array of threats and "the Russian armed forces should have the capacity to protect the country."

Russia: ICBM successfully launched from the Barents Sea



An intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), dubbed 'Sineva,' was fired from the missile submarine, Verkhoturye, in Barents Sea on Saturday. The ICBM was directed to the combat landfill, Kura, which is located on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
